Sunday School Classes for Adults

- Fellowship Class
Theme: "Claiming Identity." This Fall our lessons will cover "Struggle and Faith" in September, "How Identity Is Formed" in October and "Identity In Christ" in November. The lessons come from both New and Old Testament scriptures. Our class format is to read and discuss. All are welcome!. The Fellowship Class meets in the Christian Education Wing and is taught by Kitten Whitlow.
- Sojourners
This is a "hybrid" class, meeting in-person while continuing using Zoom for those who are out of town or who feel more comfortable with Zoom. Some may go back and forth with Zoom and in-person, depending on their situation.
We will start the year with a study of the Gospel of John, looking at how it was understood by its earliest readers, how it has been interpreted traditionally, and how we as Christians today can receive the Gospel and act “in its light.” The main resource for our study will be The Gospel of John: A Beginner’s Guide to the Way, the Truth, and the Life, by Amy-Jill Levine (2024). The class is taught by Cathy Law, Sara Reese, Angie Branyon and Susan Deihl. These classes are recorded and are available on the BACC YouTube channel and on the Sojourners Sunday School Class page.
